Also included are Austrian, German, and American passports for Kurt Gelles; German passport for Etelka Gelles; discharge certificate from Buchenwald concentration camp; programs from Lagertheater Les Milles; and photographs of the Gelles family

Kurt Gelles was born on July 24, 1907, in Vienna. He attended commercial school. In May 1938, he was arrested and interned in Dachau and Buchenwald. He was released in December 1938. In February 1939, he emigrated from Vienna to New York via Switzerland and France
